Good News of Peace and Development for Rwanda is a faith-based organization whose vision is to equip, educate and thus empower specific groups of marginalized Rwandan people to lift themselves out of poverty, and to promote and uphold peace within the Rwandan communities that it serves.
It does this through Community-based programmes that include a mainstream primary school that offers subsidised and free places for children who are or were living on the streets or from marginalised backgrounds, and the ‘Hope Project’ that supports genocide widows through a range of food security programmes.
GNPDR also has a strong prison ministry that reaches into prisons across Rwanda, and delivers both educational and spiritual support to the prisoners. An essential component of all the GNPDR programmes is that they are done in ways that bring honour to God.
